Art holidays

With the countryside or coastline an inspiring backdrop, our art holidays cater for all ability levels; from beginners who love immersing themselves in this creative pastime to more experienced artists hoping to shake up their style. Led by expert tutors in small groups of no more than 15, you’ll get the chance to meet like-minded sketchers and painters – and have ample time to practice your technique in peaceful surroundings.

Come & Craft weekends

Whether you fancy grappling with a glue gun, completing a knitting or crocheting project, making a wreath, or tackling a homemade item that’s good enough to gift, our Come and Craft holidays are a fabulous idea. Not only do they connect you with like-minded crafting folk who love making things with their hands, but they inspire you to swap ideas, share skills, and celebrate each other’s creativity. There are no organised sessions, just free-flowing tea and coffee as well as somewhere to safely store your work overnight.

Weekend Craft Breaks - Tutored Workshops

Join a fun and creative weekend break, which includes two half-day workshops, including such crafts as soap making, wreath-making, embroidery or needle felting. Our friendly tutors are local to the area and keen to share their passion for their craft!  Plus, you'll return home with something special to share with friends and family, and a sense of achievement at learning something new. There'll be time to get out and about exploring too - enjoy a self-guided walk thanks to the excellent maps and route notes available from our house Discovery Points (perhaps with some new crafting friends!).  You can expect the usual HF warm welcome from the house teams, plenty of good food (full board is included) and the home-from-home ambience that we know HF guests love!

You’ll be staying at one of our characterful UK country houses, all of which are cherished for their one-of-a-kind charm and sense of warmth. We’ve got cosy Victorian manors, elegant Georgian mansions, converted granaries and farmhouses, lakeside hideaways, and more – all with desirable addresses just a skip away from some of the best-loved national parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Full-board meals come as standard.
